2018 First-Generation College Celebration

Lord Fairfax Community College (LFCC) created and distributed buttons to faculty, staff and students that say either "I Am a First-Generation College Student!" or "I Support First-Generation College Students!" which people have been wearing all week. In an effort to create awareness, LFCC created Facebook profile picture frames using the above-mentioned logos and statements. On November 8, first-generation students, faculty, and staff gathered to enjoy a pizza networking lunch. Following the lunch, there was a group photo of all of our faculty and staff who identify as first-generation college graduate. And of course, SSS applications will be handing out at the lunch!
