2020 First-Generation College Celebration

The Northern State University First-Generation Celebration was held November 9--13th. A marketing campaign consisted of a different first gen student spotlight each day on social media; a first gen snap chat giphy; First-Gen Celebration stickers; a First-Gen Celebration Zoom background; and decorating the Student Center windows with first-gen student pictures/testimonials, quotes, and ads for the week's events. They also hosted a First-Gen Celebration Faculty and Alumni Panel, handed out candy with first-gen facts at a tabling event, hosted a campus Game Night, and put on a community service event to make holiday cards for residents of an area nursing home.
