2017 First-Generation College Celebration

The First-Generation Student Support Specialist and the student First-Generation Organization will be focused on building visibility, knowledge of, and pride among our first-generation students. Our goal was to educate the greater campus community on our first-generation student population and celebrate our first-generation students.

2018 First-Generation College Celebration

This year, there will be a day-long celebration including a t-shirt giveaway, stickers for first-generation students and their supporters, snacks, a photo booth, a Snapchat filter, resources for first-generation students, and cards for students to fill out stating "I'm proud to be first because..." These cards will be featured on a prominent wall on campus along with information about our first-generation student population, student highlights, and famous first-generation students.
