Benji Smith

Benji is the Design and Digital Innovation Manager at FirstGen Forward, where he helps drive FGF’s creative vision, blending strategy and design to ensure every piece of collateral—whether it’s a new publication, digital ad, an academic guide, or engaging video content—reflects the organization’s mission to advancing first-generation college student success. Benji is an accomplished graphic designer and media producer with over a decade of experience working with non-profits and higher education entities. Before joining FirstGen Forward, Benji was the Digital Media Specialist for Texas State University's Online and Extended Programs Division overseeing all media, website, branding, and design aspects for the university's online branch. He is passionate about reaching people through intuitive design and media by creating engaging experiences for audiences. A life-long learner, he is always studying new creative trends, cooking techniques, gardening tips, and keeping up with the newest breakthroughs in media, web, and design.
