Bill Barker serves as senior director of external relations and policy with the Center for First-generation Student Success.
Bill’s twenty years of experience in communications and marketing, development, alumni and media relations, and messaging is grounded across in higher education. Prior to joining the Center, he held roles at the University of Iowa, University of Michigan-Flint, and Advocates for Youth, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization.
A graduate of the College of Wooster, Bill now resides in Indiana with his wife, Tess, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at Indiana University Kokomo, and his daughter, Izzy.
