Bio: Lindsay Romasanta

Dr. Romasanta’ s research interests are first-generation college students, resilience, retention of underserved students, and anti-deficit approaches in higher education.

Dr. Romasanta has presented her work at American Education Research Association, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators, College Board, and at various universities and nonprofit organizations. She has coauthored several pieces of higher education research in book chapters and is currently working on another published piece.

She graduated summa cum laude and received a bachelor's degree in social work and a certificate in Asian American studies from Arizona State University, her Masters of Public Administration degree from Georgia State University, and her Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University.

1) Broadening Access, 2) Reframing the Image of the Regional Campuses, 3) Striving for Inclusive Excellence, 4) Fostering a Vibrant Student Experience, and 5) Deepening Community Partnerships

For the purposes of this talk and in alignment with my scholar practitioner experience, I will ground my remarks to focus on “Striving for Inclusive Excellence” and “Fostering a Vibrant Student Experience.”
