Robert Longwell-Grice, Ed.D.

Bio: Robert Longwell-Grice

Robert Longwell-Grice is the senior advisor for the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM). His responsibilities include directing the recruitment efforts and coordinating the scholarship program for the School of Education. Rob has been employed at UWM since 2002. At UWM, Rob has also served as the associate dean of students for the campus, and the director of academic services for the School of Education. Rob received his master’s degree in counselor education from Pennsylvania State University, and his doctorate in educational and counseling psychology from the University of Louisville.

Rob’s research interests include first generation students and issues of social class on the college campus. He has presented on these topics for the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), NASPA: Student Affairs Professionals in Higher Education., NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising and the American Education Research Association (AERA). Rob’s research has been published in national and international journals, including the NASPA Journal, the Journal of College Student Retention: Research, Theory & Practice, the NACADA journal, and the Journal of College Student Development, among others.
