Family and Community Partnerships: Promising Practices for Teachers and Teacher Educators (A Multi-generational Approach to First Generation College Success)

This chapter describes the work of the Family Engagement Institute (DEI) at Foothill Community College. FEI designs and delivers leadership development workshops for schools and community institutions so that they can build trust and lead alongside families. Workshops for schools and community organizatiosn seek to transform the midset of "Family as Resource" to "Family as Key Agents of Change."
