Because of myriad social and systemic factors, first-generation college students enter this pivotal period of their lives with considerably more challenges and obstacles to navigating college life. These barriers affect their academics, social activity, and health, including sexual health. This chapter explores the extant literature base concerning the sexual health needs of first-generation college students, offering recommendations and suggestions to help support this population of students.
