2021 First-Generation College Celebration
The Office of Student Success at Christian Brothers University will host a kick-off celebration on Monday, November 8th, a swag table outside of the cafeteria all week long and celebrate our first-gen students, alumni, staff and faculty through social media. An Alumni Panel will be co-sponsored with Career Services on November 11th and an evening retreat for first-gen students will be co-sponsored by Campus Ministry on Friday, November 12th.
2020 First-Generation College Celebration
Academic Services will be leading Christian Brothers University's (CBU's) in the National First-Generation College Celebration during the first two weeks of November. Social media spotlights on current students, staff, and faculty, as well as alumni, will be featured from November 2-10, including an Instagram Live Conversation on November 8th. Virtual, synchronous events will comprise of a panel discussion for alumni and a panel for current community members. There will also be a First-gen Swag Table in the quad!

2019 First-Generation College Celebration
In 2019, Academic Services led CBU in the National First-Generation College Celebration during the first week of November. A hospitality room was provided on November 8, 2019 for the campus community with refreshments, games, and the opportunity to take a selfie with #WeAreFirstGen frames and posters. "We Are F1rst Gen" signs and buttons were given out to students, as well as to staff and faculty to display in their office.
