2023 First-Generation College Celebration

The CNU FGCC23 will be comprised of a day of events to include tabling in the David Student Union (DSU) from 11:30AM-1:30PM, a campus photo of first-generation CNU community members at 1:55PM, and end the day with our FGCC23 Reception from 2:00-4:00PM. Tabling will provide various swag items, resources and information, and will be an opportunity to raise awareness of the first-generation student community and the services available to them at CNU. Our campus photo will take place as a transition to our reception and will allow faculty, staff, and students to celebrate collectively! Finally, the reception for first-generation students will provide a fun experience with snacks and refreshments, music, and various student groups/organizations, entertainment (games/activity, music, etc.). The reception also will highlight individuals experiences as a first-generation student/ faculty/ staff with an ongoing slideshow presentation, invited campus community members, and a collective creative project.
