2023 First-Generation College Celebration 

We've given away t-shirts to all students, faculty and staff who are or were First Gen students. They're encouraged to wear their t-shirts on the first Friday of each month.

2019 First-Generation College Celebration

Furman hosted its first inaugural lunch for first-generation students. 300+ first-generation students attend Furman University, a private liberal arts college of 2600 students in Greenville, SC. In addition to students, senior leadership from academic affairs and student life who are also first-generation attended.
