2021 First-Generation College Celebration
Georgia Tech's First-Generation Student Programs is hosting its inaugural First-Generation College Celebration Week from November 8th-13th. FGSP kicked off its First-Generation College Celebration Week with a First-Generation Symposium. Opening remarks were given by Georgia Tech President Angel Cabrera (a first-generation graduate) and Dr. Steven Girardot, Interim Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. The guest speaker for the symposium was Dr. Sarah Whitley, Assistant Vice President for the NASPA Center for First-Generation Student Success.
