2021 First-Generation College Celebration
On November 3 and 4, King's College will participate in its inaugural First-Generation Celebration Days. A First-Generation Monarchs Celebration Mixer will kick off the events. Administrators, faculty, staff, students, and community organizations will attend to recognize and celebrate the first-generation students on campus. The event is open to the entire campus community.
During the Mixer, students will be able to grab a goodie bag, decorate their own face masks, win prizes, partake in food, including a celebration cake, and learn about valuable campus and community resources, while mingling and making connections.
On November 4, the fun continues on Zoom with our "First to Finish" Faculty Panel held at 12:30PM. The Celebration wraps up with a "First-Gen Voices" Student Panel at 4PM. The entire campus community will have the opportunity to learn from past and present first-generation students.
