2023 First-Generation College Celebration

For 2023, MSU has worked to create a cohesive cross-campus week off celebratory events aimed at highlighting first-gen students, faculty, and staff. Events include opportunities for networking, socializing, and gaining resources.

2020 First-Generation College Celebration

Michigan State University's TRIO SSS Program will host their 2020 First-Generation College Celebration during the week of Nov. 2nd - Nov. 6th. The week will begin with a kick off event led by peer and professional program staff, followed by a series of workshops and panels geared toward first-gen spartans and their families. The celebration schedule is as follows:

Monday, Nov. 2nd

TRIO SSS First Gen Kick Off (4-5pm EST)

Tuesday, Nov. 3rd

To Vote or Not to Vote- Student Forum (7-8pm EST)

Wednesday, Nov. 4th

The Day After: Moving Forward Post Election (3-5pm EST)

Family Night- Q&A for families of our TRIO scholars (6-7pm EST)

Thursday, Nov. 5th

MSUFCU Financial Literacy Night (6-7pm EST)

Friday, Nov. 6th

Netflix Watch Party- "Becoming" (7-9pm EST)
