2019 First-Generation College Celebration

Space will be dedicated for students to share what it means to be a first-generation college student. Students will sign a banner and share in a photo or video. The video will be created with students from different ages, race, and socioeconomic backgrounds. The video will be placed on the college website, to play in rotation with other events. It will also be shown at a luncheon where state representatives, college presidents and community members will be invited. At this luncheon there will also be a panel of first-generation college students to discuss their barriers and accomplishments.
