2019 First-Generation College Celebration

For 2019, the Center for Academic Access and Opportunity at Suffolk University in collaboration with the Education Department, the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion, and the Division of Student Success will be hosting a series of events to celebrate First-Generation college students, staff, faculty, and alumni from November 4th and culminating in a campus-wide event on November 8, 2019.

The events are designed to get first-gen students on campus acquainted with the various offices that may provide useful resources for them, specifically, and to bring awareness about this population to the university community.

2018 First-Generation College Celebration

In 2018 Suffolk University designated the TRiO offices as the official home for First Gen Students. We dedicated a lounge space for all first generation students to utilize. This space acts as an HQ to provide advising, snacks, and academic supplies.
