2023 First-Generation College Celebration

For the first time ever, the University of North Carolina-Wilmington plans to host First-Generation Celebration Week. To celebrate the achievements of first-generation students, faculty, and staff the university has planned the following:

a First Gen Panel Discussion featuring first gen faculty, staff, and alumni

field day with games, food, and campus resource fair

first gen reception where students will be able to network and socialize with first gen faculty, staff, alumni and other first gen advocates with a group photo opportunity

first gen faculty and staff will have featured spotlights on Seahawks First social media platforms throughout first gen week

University media will spotlight 2 first gen students for first gen day on November 8th
