2019 First-Generation College Celebration

This year's celebration will include t-shirts with the First Gen logo and will be distributed to faculty/staff across the Blanding Campus as well as local high school Upward Bound staff. Light refreshments will be served and the local newspaper will be notified. A photo booth will be set up for students on campus as well as high schools UB serves. Additionally, there will be an announcement made at each high school to share the celebration of first-generation students!

2018 First-Generation College Celebration

"Upward Bound - We are First-gen - we stand with you! We will help you make it through college!" Faculty/staff listed their name and the college they graduated from. Names were put on posters with contact information for students who wanted assistance. High school UB staff were included to encourage high school students to gain more information about TRIO programs.

2017 First-Generation College Celebration

USU Blanding Campus' First Generation Celebration- posters announced refreshments with our faculty/staff that identify as first-generation college graduates. Posters were posted around campus and at local high schools.
