2019 First-Generation College Celebration

WVWC hosts a week full of events leading up to Celebration Day; we call this First Gen Week. There is a movie night, a lunch with faculty/staff, a workshop on surviving college, a game/s'mores night, and a variety of activities on 1st Gen Day itself. We give out buttons/stickers to our first gen students, our faculty/staff, and friends of first gen students.

Last year's celebration included a documentary screening, student panel, networking lunch with staff and faculty, as well as a workshop focused on strategies to utilize if you experience impostor syndrome.
