Pre-Conference Workshop
Navigating Mid-Level Transitions as First-generation Professionals
Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm (local time)
This 3-hour pre-conference workshop led by authors of the book, First-Generation Professionals in Higher Education: Strategies for the World of Work, will explore the navigational capital of first-generation professionals. Familiar with the research of scholars studying first-generation college students, presenters recognize the first-generation identity continues beyond college.
As first-generation professionals navigate mid-level career transitions, strategies focused on resilience, financial literacy, storytelling/narratives, networking and mentoring help a first-generation professional set aspirational goals and achieve career success.
Add PC-24 to your registration for an additional $50 (member fee).
