The First-generation Steering Committee will continue a tradition of a week-long celebration of the presence and experiences of first-generation students, faculty, and staff during the 2022 First-generation Awareness Week Celebration.

This year’s schedule of events will be marked with engagement opportunities across the entire UCF campus communities.

The University of Central Florida (UCF) will continue the tradition of a week-long celebration of the presence and experiences of first-generation students, faculty, and staff. This year’s virtual celebration will occur on November 8-13, 2020. This year’s schedule of events includes engagement opportunities across the UCF campus community. 2019 First-Generation College Celebration
The University of Central Florida's Knights First Generation Program will celebrate the presence and experiences of first-generation students, faculty and staff during the university's inaugural First Generation Awareness Week from Nov. 4-8.
At the University of Central Florida, one in every four undergraduate students identify as first-generation. The entire campus community is invited to help celebrate first-generation experiences throughout this week and the entire academic year.
Some activities include a First-Generation Student Resource Expo, Career & Employer Panel, and a university-wide Open House. The aim of First Generation Awareness Week is to increase awareness around serving first-generation students and to connect first-generation students with university resources, faculty, staff, and administrators.
