2017 First-Generation College Celebration

In 2017 the TRIO Programs office celebrated our first-generation students by distributing "Cookie Grams" to students in the TRIO Program. The cookies had a special message, "We are glad you are here... you belong!" This was a small effort to recognize our students in the TRIO Student Support Services Program.

2018 First-Generation College Celebration

The TRIO Student Support Services Program, the Office of Undergraduate Studies, and the Office of Engagement at the University of Utah will partner to host the U’s Inaugural First-Generation College Celebration. This celebration is intended to highlight the history of these programs on the U’s campus while celebrating the myriad of accomplishments of the students served. The celebration will include informational program updates, panel discussions as well as a celebration of the Federal TRIO Programs’ 40th anniversary at the University of Utah.
