2021 First-Generation College Celebration

VCU will be hosting a week-long celebration surrounding National First-Gen Day. This year, TRIO SSS and You First at VCU have partnered to expand the activities. The week will start off with an etiquette/keynote dinner for first-gen students and other underrepresented populations on campus. On Tuesday, there will be a panel of alumni speaking about their journey since graduating from the university. On Wednesday, there will be a large pizza giveaway attached to a resource fair exposing students to the various programs and departments on campus that directly serve special populations. Thursday evening, first-gen students will be able to attend a BINGO night social. The week will culminate on Friday with a luncheon and induction ceremony for over 100 of VCU's inaugural Tri-Alpha First Generation National Honor Society members.
